Oliver Strachan

Oliver Strachan
Los Angeles Based Actor & Musician

Meet Oliver
Oliver Strachan (he/him) is a theater artist, musician, and creative leader from Gig Harbor, Washington. Known for work that’s both emotionally grounded and just ridiculous enough to keep things fun, Oliver brings a unique blend of heart, humor, and intention to every project he touches.

Currently based in Los Angeles, Oliver is pursuing a B.A. in Musical Theater at UCLA’s School of Theater, Film, and Television, with a minor in Music Industry. At UCLA, he’s performed in a wide range of departmental and student productions. Some of his favorite roles include Thaliard in Pericles, King Charles in Pippin, Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Cal in Waitress, Blick in The Time of Your Life, Robin in Something Rotten!, and Andrey in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812.

Beyond the stage, Oliver is a passionate musician and songwriter. Under the name Oliver Elliott, he recently released his first fully produced single, The Void, and was selected as a solo performer for UCLA’s Spring Sing, the university’s oldest musical tradition. He currently serves as president and choreographer of Bruin Harmony, UCLA’s premier all-male a cappella group, where he’s also held roles in business and marketing. With the group, he competed in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA), where he was awarded both Outstanding Soloist and Outstanding Choreographer.

A frequent collaborator on new work, Oliver has been part of premiere workshops for The Grand Hotel Tartarus, DisTopia, The Golden Record, and Yesterday Once More. He also serves as a social media manager and house management intern at Pacific Resident Theater, where he helps support the development of bold, intimate theater in the heart of Venice.

When he’s not performing, arranging, or working backstage, Oliver is probably on TikTok—where over 43K followers and 1.2M likes keep up with his blend of music, comedy, and creatively chaotic storytelling. Whether leading a rehearsal, writing a song, or posting something silly but sincere, Oliver is always looking for new ways to connect, collaborate, and create.
